Two College Sports Rivals Put Their Differences Aside For One Adorable Day

When people choose a team to support, they support them 100 percent. Supporting your team also means hating the rivals. For example, part of being a Red Sox fans is hating the Yankees.

College sports fans are some of the staunchest and most devout fans, and the same is definitely true for their mascots.

Two college mascots, Georgetown University's Jack and Butler University's Butler Blue III, are both adorable English bulldogs that attend every game. They've become local celebrities and have thousands of followers on social media.

Jack has been the mascot of Georgetown since 1962, and his bio on the university's website says that his favorite hobby is to attack and destroy cardboard boxes branded with the rival team's logo.

Butler Blue III is the third bulldog to represent Butler University. You can see him at every game chewing on an oversized rawhide bone, but non-athletes look to Butler for good luck as well. They say that if you pet Butler Blue on your way to class, you're more likely to get good grades.

Usually, these two are rivals — but at a recent Georgetown home game, these two sports fans were paired together for an afternoon of working and playing. Fortunately, their owners brought their cameras to document some of the fun.

What would two bulldog mascots talk about? Probably food and sleeping — and sports, of course.

Like any good company representative, they knew how to smile and pose for the camera.

Still, they were able to put most of their differences aside, and Butler Blue III enjoyed his tour of Georgetown.

Georgetown lost their most recent game to Butler, but Jack didn't take it personally.

They're looking forward to the next game. Being team rivals doesn't mean they can't be friends.
