Being a big dog has its benefits. All of the other dogs respect you, if a criminal breaks into your home, they might think twice after looking at you, and it's always great to be able to get food off the dinner table when your humans aren't looking! But sometimes being a big dog has its drawbacks as well, but it seems Lincoln the Great Dane has figured out how to solve those pesky little problems.
Great Danes are known for their humongous size, and Lincoln is no exception. But while he might be big, he certainly has a few problems when it comes time to eating or drinking. When you're so high off the ground, sometimes it can be extra hard to stoop down just to get a few laps of fresh water. But while Mom was cleaning the bathroom one afternoon, she noticed that Lincoln is a pretty smart guy.
Mom left the water running in the faucet, and that's when Lincoln took the opportunity to help himself to a nice drink of cold water. Without having to bend or crane his neck, he reached out and started to chug down as much water as he could. Talk about a dog solving his own problems! This guy knows exactly how to keep himself happy, and while some dogs like to drink from the toilet, this Great Dane is a bit more refined than that!
Maybe Mom should figure out a system where Lincoln can turn the faucet on for himself whenever he's hungry.
