Buff Australian Kangaroo Is Freaking People Out With His Massive Human-Like Muscles

We all know what kangaroos look like, right?

They're cute, fuzzy Australian mammals that can jump really far and have ridiculously strong back legs.

Some of us even know a little bit more about kangaroos, like the fact that they're marsupials, that there are a few different types, and that moms carry their babies in their pouches to complete development.

But did you know that the kangaroo is actually a symbol of Australia? The unique animal appears on some Australian currency and on the Australian coat of arms, and it represents the country on an international level.

So now that we know a little bit more about kangaroos in general, it's time to talk about one specific kangaroo.

This kangaroo is making headlines around the world just for taking a dip in a creek. Everyone who has seen these photos has been shocked at the way this 'roo looks — because he's absolutely jacked, and his muscles look strangely human-like.

On October 11, 2o17, ABC Perth shared a story on Twitter of an absolutely enormous kangaroo.

They wrote, "Mid-water stand-off between huge kangaroo and dog near Margaret River."

Look, we all know there are some crazy animals in Australia — giant snakes and crocodiles and whatnot — but for them to be surprised by this 'roo it must mean he's truly something special.

So, how did this photo come to be?

Jackson Vincent was walking his dog along the river when he decided he wanted to take a picture of the pooch.

When Jackson turned around, though, he noticed the kangaroo in the water.

As his dog started barking, the kangaroo rose up out of the water and puffed out his chest — that's when Jackson realized just how big the animal was.

Apparently, kangaroos are very good swimmers — and when they feel threatened, like by a dog or a person, they might go into the water to defend themselves.

Once the kangaroo saw Jackson and his dog pause, though, he took other measures to scare them off.

Jackson explained that his dog, who had never seen a kangaroo before, was really excited and wanted to play.

Fortunately, Jackson realized the kangaroo was not in a playing mood, and the two moved on after snapping a few pictures.

When the photos made their way around the web, people were astonished by the size of the 'roo.

One man wrote, "Our kangaroos are ripped!"

Other people expressed their shock as well, drawing comparisons between the animal and human beings.

So much for the cute, fuzzy kangaroos, huh?
