Most of us have probably heard a whole lot about bear encounters.
We've been taught the methods of fending them off, we know that sudden movements aren't going to help so much, and we also understand that their power is even greater than it looks.
They are fierce and strong when they want to be, and humans really are no match for their strength.
That's why, when it comes to bears, we avoid them at all costs unless there's a trustworthy barrier keeping us safe.
But that's not the route photographer George Hachey took at all when getting up close and personal with nine black bears at Canada's Little, Big Bear Safari.
The park, located in New Brunswick, gives guests the chance to check out the bears that are being so kind to Hachey, and he highly recommends a trip.
In his experience, the bears are stress relievers and spending time with them is good for anyone — even if you're afraid.
I'll leave the one-on-one bear encounters to the professionals, but I have to admit it is really cool to see the bears just coexisting with Hachey.
They don't even seem to notice that he's there, except for their eating the food that he puts on the ground for them.
