Have you ever seen a rabbit that's the size of a Sheltie? What about a horse so tall that you'd need a ladder to climb onto his back?

Gigantic animals are incredible sights to behold, some so shockingly large that they defy not only our expectations, but stretch our wildest imagination.

And believe it or not, none of these images are photoshopped.

1. This pig from China grew to be an astounding 1984 pounds. That's a lot of bacon!

The Liaoning Provincial Agricultural Museum appealed to have this guy added to the Guinness Book of Records as the biggest pig to ever exist.

The pig was just five-years-old when he died, but lived in a well-built sty and ate plenty of high-quality food.

2. Sandy is a Flemish rabbit, one of the largest breeds of bunnies and comparable in size of her Sheltie friend!

Flemish Giant rabbits were bred as early as the 16th century in Flanders, Belgium, and typically eat what other rabbits do despite their massive size.

It is not unusual to see a 22-pound Flemish Giant.

3. Mekong catfish of China can grow up to 10.5 feet long!

These very large fish are critically endangered due to water pollution and overfishing.

As a result, fishing them is currently illegal in Thailand, Laos and Cambodia, although the bans seem to be remain ineffective. Mekong catfish are important to Thai folklore, and special rituals are performed and offerings made before they are fished.

4. This giant kitty is not being held by a little kid!

It's called a Ragdoll cat, and this fluffy breed can grow up to 20 pounds!

Don't let the size scare you though, as Ragdolls are known for being gentle and docile pets.

5. This incredible horse stands at 19 feet tall!

Known as the Percheron supreme world champion, this colossal horse named Moose is a draft horse, meaning that his kind was originally bred for war.

It'd definitely be terrifying to encounter this big guy on the battlefield!

6. Giant Freshwater Stingrays can grow up to 1,300 pounds...

Sadly they are currently endangered. Found in large estuaries and rivers in Borneo and Indochina, these big fish prey on smaller fish and invertebrates, and give birth to four pups at a time.

7. The Bismarck Flying Fox of New Guinea is the world's largest bat.

Part of the ancient genus Pteropus, this Megabat (also known as the Great Flying Fox) weighs only three pounds despite its massive size, and is found throughout lowland areas of New Guinea and in the Bismarck Archipelago.

8. Meet Big Cow Chili, the world's heaviest and tallest cow.

He weighs in at one ton and is six feet tall, but his owners describe him as a gentle giant who loves grazing in the grass and eating treats.

Big Cow Chili is as large as a small elephant, standing at over six feet and weighing over a ton.

9. Coconut crabs can crush whole coconuts open with their claws!

The largest-living anthropod in the world, coconut crabs live on islands across the Indian Ocean and parts of the Pacific, and can grow up to 9 pounds.

They're happy to feast on fruit and nuts, but they also won't turn down a dead animal carcass. Yum!

10. Nomura’s Jellyfish weigh hundreds of pounds!

These enormous jellyfish, which can grow to be 440 pounds, swarm the waters surrounding Japan and China, and while are eaten, are not considered a delicacy.

11. The Chinese giant salamander is the world's largest amphibian.

Unfortunately, they are considered endangered due to habitat loss.

12. The Giant whale shark does not eat people.

Also known as the king of herrings, the giant oarfish is found throughout the world's oceans and is in fact the world's largest bony fish.

These huge fish can reach lengths of up to 36 feet, though unconfirmed lengths of 56 feet have been reported. We hope you like herring for dinner!

18. The blue whale can grow up to 98 feet long!

This is the world's largest existing animal and the heaviest animal that ever existed, weighing in at around 210 short tons.

Blue whales inhabit all of the Earth's oceans and almost exclusively eat krill. They were heavily hunted, almost to the point of extinction, in fact, until whale hunting was outlawed in 1968 by the internal community. As a result, they are now endangered.

19. The Maine Coon cat is actually very docile, despite its leopard-like size.

This is Rupert, a giant Maine Coon cat that is the world's largest breed of domesticated cat. Rupert lives in Melbourne, Australia and has been named the Cat of the Year and the Australian National Champion.

Maine Coons are known for their intelligence and gentle personality. They can weigh up to 25 pounds!

20. Brutus the saltwater crocodile may weigh around 2,000 pounds.

This huge saltwater crocodile named Brutus lives on the Adelaide River, just south of Darwin, a northern territory of Australia. He's missing a leg, but that doesn't stop him in the slightest.

Pictured is a group of tourists watching him rise out of the water to snack on some buffalo meat offered up just for him. Male saltwater crocs can weigh anywhere from 1,000 to 2,000 pounds!

21. Gentle George the giant was the world's tallest dog.

George was a 43-inch tall Great Dane very much beloved by his family and all of his devoted Internet fans.

His owners kept everyone up-to-date on this Guinness World Record-breaker's antics via YouTube and Facebook, and even published a book about him called "Giant George: Life With The World's Biggest Dog." George passed away peacefully in 2013, but he will never be forgotten.
