A day in the life of a police officer can be quite unpredictable. They never quite know what challenges they may face or what kind of heroic deeds may be required.
And in the case of the Clearwater Police Department, officers certainly didn't start their day thinking they'd be giving a ride to a goat in their squad car.
Clearwater, FL, may seem like an odd place for a goat to be wandering around, but resident Amy Woolary Quillen saw just that. She immediately called the local police who came to investigate.
Officers Washington and Allen then had the unusual pleasure of corralling the creature and chauffeuring the goat back to its home at a private school.

Quillen posted this photo of herself with the goat, along with the Facebook status:
"I'm the person who caught the goat and called the police. I knew he didn't belong in that naaaaayyyyborhood."
Puns aside, Quillen did the right thing by reaching out to the Clearwater Police Department.

While Officers Washington and Allen never expected to be driving a goat around, they did their duty to return the creature to its home.
