Obsessions happen slowly. It all starts when you stumble upon something you never knew existed but instantly adore, like a certain breed of bunny, a specific toy, or a new food.
For instance, I didn’t eat a pork bun until I was 17. I was at a dim sum, saw the pretty puff of a pasty sitting on a cart, ordered it, took a bite, and instantly fell in love. The soft, doughy bun was filled with savory and sweet slow-cooked pork that made my tastebuds dance with delight!
Afterwards, no food could compete with the zeal I felt for pork buns. I became obsessed, Googled their origins, found out that other cultures make their own variations, sampled every kind I could find, learned how to make my own buns, and ate them every second I could. I even started wearing my hair in a gigantic bun to honor my favorite food!
Then I discovered the sensory overloads that are stuffed grape leaves and my allegiances shifted.
But I get it.
I get why the woman in the video below felt compelled to buy a backyard hen after trying a farm-fresh egg. I understand the roller coaster ride on the way to full-on fanatic…and having a really good sense of humor about it.
Watch the hilarious video below, and watch the slippery slope one woman experienced when buying a chicken. And how owning one chicken can lead to buying another, and another, until your whole life is all about chickens…leading to the purchase of a goat, a sheep, and a cow.
Watch the sidesplitting video below and SHARE it with all your friends and family because it will make them laugh, and laughing should be everyone’s obsession.
