Buddy the pit bull has had a difficult life — but every step of the way, he has shown love to everyone he's come into contact with. Now, he needs a forever home.
Buddy was found in an abandoned apartment without food or water. A neighbor, Jacob Martin, volunteered to take Buddy in, and a few weeks later, Buddy alerted Jacob to a fire that was happening next door. Thanks to Buddy, Jacob is alive and well, and he was able to save his apartment. But because of issues outside of anyone's control, Buddy was shuffled to two more houses after that, each place wanting to help him, but not able to give him the support he needed.
At one point, it seemed that Buddy might have to go to a shelter, and the odds did not look good after that.
Finally, Buddy was transported to Mercy’s Door Pet Rescue Inc., a pit bull rescue organization run by Krissi Fussner. Fussner says she will keep Buddy for a few weeks, evaluate him, make sure he has all his medical needs taken care of, and then work hard to find new a new home.
