The Humane Society of the United States recently rescued 65 dogs and puppies from nightmarish, life-threatening conditions in a Mississippi town. Sasha was one them. This is her story.
Sasha was found underneath a truck, with a broken leg. She tried to run away during her rescue, but these incredible men and women did what they needed to do to pull Sasha to safety. She finally started opening up and allowing contact — and soon, she'll be ready to find her forever home. Until then, Sasha is finally enjoying all the food, shelter, love and care she never had — and it's enough to bring tears to my eye.
