When Bhaskar Shri, 18, passed away in a car accident, his beloved dog Tommy was heartbroken. Showing his loyalty, the dog stood guard and refused to leave his master's grave — going almost two weeks without food or water.
The young construction worker had adopted the dog five years ago, and the two became inseparable. The dog remained loyal even after his death, unable to leave his side.
Dawn Williams, an animal rescue officer working with Blue Cross of India, spotted the dog but didn't think much of it at the time. But when she was back in the area two weeks later, she saw the dog again. It looked like dog hadn't moved for weeks, so she set out to track down the young man's family. Luckily, she was able to find Shri's mother and help reunite her with the dog.
