The Michigan Humane Society was on call for an owner surrender, when one of the heroic rescue workers found a box near his vehicle. He almost kicked the box out of the way, but good thing he looked first — because inside the box were three tiny puppies curled up together, freezing from the cold Michigan air.
My first reaction was to say, "What kind of monster could do this?" But the Society says leaving the puppies in plain sight of them was a much better option than simply letting the puppies loose, or abandoning them where no one could find them. Had they not been placed at their work van, the puppies would have died.
When I saw these three angels, my heart nearly exploded. They are so adorable. And I'm happy to report that each of the pups are in foster care! Because of their young ages and teeny sizes, they need more time before being adopted out to their forever families.
