We've seen our fair share of mysterious boxes found outside on the Internet, but every single one provides a new discovery that can often be both heartbreaking and amazing. Either way, we're always glad to see people find them and discover what's inside.
On December 28, 2011 a woman from Animal's Protection Association Minis, Arad – a non-profit rescue organization in Romania also know as APAM – came across a mysterious cardboard box outside while walking. What she found inside, however, was quite shocking.
Inside the box were four abandoned black puppies. Someone had left the pups in the box, out in the cold and the elements, with no regard for their lives whatsoever. Luckily for the puppies, the woman from APAM found the box and began to nurture the dogs immediately. It's clear from the video that these puppies were malnourished and likely freezing. Their audible groans are absolutely heartbreaking.
Seeing this rescue not only brings us to tears of joy, but it's also a reminder of the amazing work that organizations like APAM do on a daily basis. They're often underfunded, struggling to make ends meet, and yet they go the extra mile to make sure animals are safe and secure. And that is something quite special.
