Yet another amazing rescue by an amazing organization…
When Shawna was walking behind a store in Prince George, BC one cold winter day, she thought she heard muffled cries coming from a box. She decided to investigate, so she carefully opened the frozen box, and what she saw inside shocked her.
A tiny Yorkie-Poo puppy was shivering in the box, a rubber band tied around her snout to keep her from crying out. Shawna rushed the puppy to Animal Advocates, a rescue organization in British Columbia. Star, as the puppy was named, had a badly damaged snout, but with daily care and love, she bounced back from her abusive past and became one of the sweetest, happiest dogs there is!
I cannot fathom how anyone could be so cruel to a defenseless puppy, but I'm glad there are people like Shawna and Animal Advocates to equal out such disgusting behavior with such good hearts!

Star's nose was so badly damaged she needed to be on painkillers for months.

Slowly, with love and lots of vet attention, she started to heal.

These days, Star is happy and healthy, and seems to have completely forgotten her rough start.
