When Hope For Paws heard about a dog who had collapsed in a dark ally, they immediately rushed to her aid. Cadence the Pit Bull had been severely abused, and when rescuers saw the extent of her injuries, they couldn't believe how she had survived so long. Luckily, they were able to get her to safety, clean her up, give her a safe place to heal, and even fixed her badly damaged eyes!
The sweetest part is that another rescued Pit Bull, Chance, who came to the shelter right after Cadence, saw her injuries and immediately wanted to love her and help her heal. Watching them together filled my heart with such joy – and things only got better from there! Cadence is now happy, healthy, and an extremely gentle dog! This just proves that it's not the breed, it's the owner!
