Rescuers Save A Stray Dog From The Roof Of A Burned-Out Home

It's always very sad to see where abandoned cats and dogs find themselves. Our hearts broke at the sight of a pit bull puppy abandoned in a trash bag by the side of the road, and before that, when we saw this blind pit bull abandoned in cruel conditions. So when we saw where this pup ended up, we could only be thankful that she was saved in time!

Katie Krupp says that she's always on the lookout for stray dogs along a Detroit street she takes to go to work. But one day, she spotted a disturbing sight on the roof of a wrecked, burned-out house. There, she saw a white dog, perched on the caved-in attic roof, relaxing on an old mattress.

How the lone pup managed to make its way to the roof is a mystery, but the rescuers who responded to the call went to great lengths — and heights — to save her.

The rescue wasn't easy: as soon as the frightened dog saw the strangers, she escaped to another part of the roof, making the rescuers chase after her. For a few moments, it looked like she was going to jump off the top of the ruined house, but the quick-thinking volunteers captured her just in time, and were able to bring her to safety. The whole rescue took about 45 minutes!

Please SHARE if you're glad another one of our sweet furry friends now has the chance to find her forever home!
