What They Did To This Puppy’s Legs? I’m In Tears.

Tia Torres is the ultimate dog hero. Known for her work on "Pit Bulls and Parolees," Tia has dedicated her life to rescuing the world's greatest underdog: the Pit Bull.

Recently, Tia's journey has taken an adorably heartwarming turn. Get ready to meet Blanche — a Pit Bull puppy who was found abandoned in a sugar cane field near New Orleans, LA. She's clearly outgoing and as cute as can be, but there was a problem — Blanche has a deformity that causes her to walk on the sides of her ankles. She's so young that her bones haven't formed yet, so when she puts pressure on them it causes damage.

But the incredible team of vets enlisted by Tia had an idea. The doctors decided to splinter her legs in order to see if they could straighten them out, before it's too late.

As you'll see, Blanche was unsteady on her brightly colored green and pink casts — but little by little, this amazing puppy adjusted like any strong-willed animal would. As Tia says, she's got a lot of "piss and vinegar," and she's a "tough little chick" who wasn't about to give up on a normal, healthy life.
