100-Year-Old Pianist Brings Audience To Tears…

Age is just a number for Randolph Hokanson. The 100-year-old renowned pianist continues to perform several times a month. On Wednesday night, he played to a packed concert hall at a retirement home in Seattle, where he is also a resident.

Tickling the ivories, Hokanson put on the performance of a lifetime and didn't miss a beat. The elderly residents tapped their feet and were overjoyed by the talented pianist. His only hope is to make everyone feel young again.

"It's sensational," Stuart Baker told USA Today. "It makes me cry. It just makes the tears flow."

Hokanson was excited to see so many people come out to hear him play.

"There was a full house. It was amazing," said Hokanson. "I didn't know I had that many friends."

Hokanson, who celebrated his 100 birthday on June 22, is beyond thrilled to still be able to do what he loves. He credits his piano playing as the secret to his longevity.

"You just keep doing what you love to do. That's all. It's very simple," Hokanson said. "Anybody who has a great passion and can't live without it, I think that helps you live. I think it keeps you well and happy and busy. It certainly has kept me busy."
