Teen Wears Poofy Pink Prom Dress In 1962. 51 Years Later, Her Granddaughter Puts It On

It's prom season, and that means teens across the country are scrambling to find their outfits for the big night.

It's everyone's chance to show off their own personal style. You want to look your very best and turn heads on the dance floor.

And this year, young men and women are grabbing our attention with their choices!

While many try to jump on the latest fashions, a few go back in time and find inspiration from their parents. Some even repurpose the outfits their mom or dad wore to their prom!

That's exactly what Bev Tippett's daughter Maggie did for her 2013 prom. In the '80s, Bev had worn a puffy, pink prom dress, which she kept in great condition and looking beautiful for her daughter.

But Bev hadn't been the first to don the dress. In fact, it was first worn in 1962 by her mother, for her prom. The same dress, unaltered in any major way, would go on to be worn by three generations of women.

51 years have passed between the first and the last time the dress was worn. What a feat!

Now scroll down to see the beautiful dress over the years.

Bev Tippett posted a photo of her daughter, Maggie, in her prom dress online, and it's getting a lot of attention, because she wasn't the first one to wear the outfit!

The dress was worn by Maggie, and before that by her mom, Bev, and before that by her grandmother!

Bev posted photos of the times the dress has been worn, and people were awed by how beautiful the dress has remained over the decades. It was first worn in 1962.

Bev then wore it in the '80s.

She wasn't the only one — her sister also wore it around the same time!

Then, in 2013, Bev's daughter Maggie wore the dress. So many years later, it remains very stylish!
