Nick was a typical 9-year-old boy who loved going to school and being with his friends. He was a good kid who could easily get along with everyone. This is precisely why what happened during a class party took everyone by surprise.
It was like any other school day when suddenly there was a huge commotion. The supervising teacher took one look at Nick and pointed in his direction. At that moment, Nick had no idea what was coming his way.
The teacher who was supervising things overheard a conversation that had been taking place at Nick’s table in class. She heard him say something rather startling and decided to confer with another teacher to try and decide how to handle the situation. The pair quickly came to an unsettling conclusion.
The teachers went to the principal to discuss the incident and they decided together that they needed to call the police. With that phone call, a few police cars soon pulled up to the elementary school. The students and teachers were abuzz as they wondered what happened and if they were in any danger.
According to HuffPost, the police were called to a New Jersey elementary school during a class party when a student made a “comment about brownies that was interpreted as racist.”

The Collingwood Police Department were called to “settle the matter,” and even though the exact comment has remained private due to child protection laws, the student’s mother, Stacy do Santos, “believes the school officials overreacted.”
