What an awesome love story…
Gordon and Mavis Allan, residents at Ozcare's Keith Turnbull Place senior care facility in Australia, celebrated their 75th Wedding Anniversary with the renewal of their wedding vows. Gordon, 99 and Mavis, 96 joined hands and hearts 75 years ago and have remained united in love and life ever since.
The ceremony, attended by staff, residents and family, was held in the facility recreation room and was lovingly decorated by staff with items from their own wedding. In preparation for the big moment, Mavis visited the on-site hairdresser and the happy couple dressed in their finest outfits.
Guests toasted the bride and groom and celebrated the occasion with afternoon tea and the couple's wedding cake, a replica of their original wedding cake created 75 years ago.
