Every family reunion is an emotional experience, especially if one member has been away for a very long time because he or she is in the military. But we've seen some pretty incredible reunions that involve surprising a special someone. Soldiers come up with some pretty genius ideas to surprise that one person, whether it's their kids, spouse, parents, or siblings.
There are no shortage of ways to orchestrate such a surprise, but my personal favorite is the casual entrance, when they show up at times and places when family is least expecting them. Check out this Marine who surprised his little sister on the day before her last day of school!
Technical Sergeant Ray Lena came up with an awesome plan with his wife: their five children were the target of his surprise. They decided that he would suddenly show up at dinner in disguise.
The mom called a local pizza parlor with a strange request: her husband would dress up as one of their waiters and bring their order to their table. Sure enough, when the moment came, the soldier switched uniforms, and carried two pies. Now watch for the moment his children recognize his face…
