Whether a wedding is big or small, the most important factor is having your loved ones by your side when you say "I do." Celebrating your new life together just wouldn't be the same without family and friends there to cheer you on! Seeing their faces smiling back at you ranks high above all the decor, food, and music… Though, of course, that stuff is tons of fun, too!
But when this couple decided to take that walk down the aisle, it wasn't inside a church or any other ordinary venue you would usually RSVP. As a flight attendant, it's only fitting that Kristy have her nuptials take place 35,000 feet in the air! With her mom, Billie Jo, fighting cancer, she wanted their big day to fulfill three of Billie Jo's biggest wishes: to see where her daughter works, to see where she lives, and to see her marry the man she loves. So they boarded a flight with Kristy's fiancé Jim to their home in Seattle where they could grant all wishes at once!
Wearing an outfit she designed herself, including some especially snazzy aviator-inspired heels, Kristy and Jim exchanged their vows surrounded by fellow travelers. It might seem unusual to some of us, but it's definitely a day none of those present will forget anytime soon! And it clearly meant a great deal to Kristy and her family, which is all that really matters.
