The Humane Society of the United States helped rescue approximately 60 dogs in desperate need of care from a suspected hog-dog fighting breeding ground in Cottonwood, AL.
When the rescue team arrived at the scene, they saw a living nightmare. Emaciated dogs living in inclement weather and in a long-term state of neglect. Even the puppies hadn't been fed in weeks, if not more.
It really hit home for me when I saw how a group of dogs sought shelter together, cramming themselves into an abandoned car. No one deserves this kind of life, and when you have a soft spot for dogs like I do, it's hard to watch.
But thankfully, these pups were rescued and immediately sent for medical care. Every single one of these dogs deserves a loving home with lots of care and love. Thank God for their incredible saviors!
