It's bittersweet, watching your baby grow into a toddler, and then into a little kid — and having to make adjustments at home accordingly. When Peter's son Alex turned 4 years old, he wanted to give him a bedroom makeover as a way for his son to "prepare for new things to come." Over the course of the next several days, Peter busted his butt and worked day and night to give Alex a proper boy's bedroom.
In just five short but exhausting days, Peter transformed his son's nursery into an awesome bedroom fit for a growing little boy. The new and improved room features bright yellow cabinets, playful wall decals, lots of natural light, and even a big-boy bed. The following video is a time lapse revealing how much time and effort Peter put into this very special room.
"I am not a PRO in any of this," Peter writes on YouTube. "I am a DIY guy who loves tools and making, fixing everything possible." As he started to prepare the existing paint for a new coat, it started to peel off like a sticker (which later turned out to be some kind of vinyl outside paint). So, he decided to embark on the painstaking process of removing all of the existing paint entirely — using nothing but a Stanley knife and lots of patience.
