Is your wedding dress sitting in your closet, collecting dust?
With all of the destruction that's resulted form Hurricanes Harvey and Irma, we're all trying to figure out ways to help those who have suffered. One woman, Amber White, came up with the perfect solution.
She's offering to give away her wedding dress to a bride-to-be who's lost her own in one of the storms. Surely, there must be dozens of brides in the affected areas who had their perfect dream dress paid for and hanging in their homes — homes that have since been flooded or ruined.
Lots of other folks have been inspired by Amber's kind, selfless gesture. She's willing to gift her special memory, full of love, to someone else who can put it to good use in the aftermath of a tragedy.
She's really going to make one bride's day so meaningful!
Please help spread the word and find this dress a new home, and SHARE with your family and friends on Facebook!
If you’re looking to help the victims of the recent hurricanes, consider donating to the Red Cross, or take a look at these eight ways you can lend a hand.

Meet Amber White: a mom of three who has been distraught over all the suffering and loss that has resulted form Hurricane Irma. She just wanted to find a way to help those in need during this trying time.

She thought of her wedding dress, which has been hanging in the closet for seven years. She asked herself if she'd ever really need it again, and her generous heart told her that there were others who need it far more than she ever will.

So, she took to Facebook to offer up her beautiful, loved dress to anyone who may need it in the wake of destruction that both Hurricanes Harvey and Irma have caused.
She wrote, "Okay, so this may be a little crazy, but … I'm sitting here staring at my wedding dress hanging in my closet and I can't help but to think of all of the brides affected by Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma. My dress has been hanging in my closet for 7 years and I honestly don't see myself doing anything with it. There have to be so many brides who have had their dresses ruined from these devastating hurricanes."

"Soooo," she continued, "I want to give my dress away! If you are a bride or know a bride affected by the hurricanes, have them contact me! My only stipulation is after you wear it, you have to pass it to another bride that was affected as well! Kind of like the sisterhood of the traveling wedding dress!"

"I know the dress is not the most elegant or extravagant, but it was perfect for my perfect day and it was prayed over passionately and worn on a day filled with so much love. I would love to share my dress with another woman on her special day."

An amazing thing about Amber's gesture is how many people are taking her lead and offering up their wedding dresses as well. Many are offering to pay for the shipping, too.

A wedding dress is very special, but you really only need it for that one day. After that, it's the memory that matters, and if someone else in need can use it, why not donate? Amber's Facebook post has been shared all across the web, and there is now a Facebook group called The Sisterhood of the Traveling Wedding Dress, where folks can organize their dress donations.
Amber is still trying to figure out the best way to organize dress offers so that brides can easily find their size and style preference. She has instructed potential donors to email her at amberdwhite@yahoo.com, so she can gather and organize incoming donations.

Help spread the word about Amber's kind gesture, you never know whose special day will be absolutely made by a simple share!
