President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump’s son, Barron Trump, just turned 20 on March 20. And apparently, his mom had a lot of control over the guest list for his birthday celebration. Interestingly, Donald Trump Jr., Eric Trump, and Ivanka Trump were reportedly not there for it.
The fact that Melania took control of who was invited to the private soirée might explain why, except insiders allege Barron doesn’t have a close relationship with his older siblings. Of course, not much is known about Barron. His mom has done a decent job of keeping him out of the spotlight, given how much attention his father gets (and craves) on a regular basis. Barron was recently spotted talking to Ivanka, and his older brother Eric talked about him during an interview with Megyn Kelly (which allegedly angered Melania quite a bit).
Insiders say they were excluded from the invite list on purpose.
Insiders told Rub Shuter’s Naughty But Nice Substack that Melania didn’t invite Don Jr., Eric, or Ivanka to the birthday party. As a source mentioned, Melania has “always kept Barron separate,” which means he and his older siblings don’t share “a real bond” with each other.
And of course, his older siblings are also a lot older than he is, which might explain some of the distance. Don Jr., for instance, is 48 years old. His 18-year-old daughter, Kai Trump, is much closer in age to Barron.
“They’re not close — at all,” the source said of Barron and his siblings. “This wasn’t an oversight. They were left off the list.” It’s unclear whether Barron’s sister Tiffany Trump was invited to the celebration.
Melania also wanted it to be all about Barron.
Sound familiar? Based on earlier reports, it seems like Melania has a problem with sharing the spotlight. It was previously reported that she did not invite Ivanka to the premiere of her documentary, Melania, because she wanted the night to be all about her. Similarly, an insider claimed that Melania didn’t want any distractions at Barron’s birthday celebration.
“Melania is in charge, and she wanted this to be about Barron — not about Donald Trump, and not about his other children,” the insider alleged. And to be fair, it’s not like Barron had a huge party and didn’t invite his siblings. The source described it as “a small, controlled, private celebration” that some people were purposely excluded from.
Barron’s rare public appearances get a lot of attention.
And because he does generally stay out of the spotlight, people tend to speculate quite a bit. At their dad’s State of the Union address, Barron was spotted talking to Ivanka and a lot of people online were trying to figure out what they said to each other. One lip reader thought Ivanka had said, “What are you doing on…?” and claimed that Barron seemed to respond with, “I’m not sure, I couldn’t be a—d.”
And at his father’s inauguration, people noticed Barron talking to Former President Joe Biden and wanted to know what he said. Eric finally spilled the tea and told Megyn Kelly that Barron had said something extremely polite, like “Congratulations and best of luck to you.”
At the time, an insider told Rob that these comments about Barron made Melania “deeply uncomfortable.” The insider claimed, “She told Eric to shut his mouth. She protects that boy like a lioness.”
