Honey the dog and Kwanza the white lion cub are the best of friends. Kwanza’s mother was originally rearing him until she stopped producing milk, which could have had tragic consequences. During this period, zoo keepers began caring for him and nursing him with the help of a very special doggy. Kwanza developed a special bond with the zoo dog, Honey. They two furry friends like to spend time exploring, wrestling and playing together. White lions are all in protective facilities presently because they were hunted for their pelts – No white lions have been seen in the wild since 1994, and if it weren’t for hero dogs like Honey, who knows if this little cub would be thriving!
