Woman Fearlessly Prays With Armed Robber

Angela Montez is an Indianapolis store clerk at a check cashing place. One day while on the job, a man in his early twenties walked in. He had a gun, it was loaded, and he wanted cash. It's impossible to know what you'll do, how you'll react when put in a life-threatening situation, but what Angela did next  unbelievable! Angela began to pray, she began to talk to the robber about God. They prayed together for 40 minutes, and the entire incident was caught on camera.

The man, 23-year-old Gregory L. Smith, explained that he was doing this for his family. He began to cry. He hadn't done this before, in fact, he was a veteran. He hadn't had a job in months. His daughter, his family, they were going to be homeless. Angela begged him not to go through with it. He apologized. He handed her the only bullet in his gun. He took $20, then he turned himself in to the police.

"I believe the Lord sent us both together. The more we talked, he just broke down. … He said, 'Talk to me. No one will talk to me. I have nobody,'" Angela told GMA. "I told him, 'Don't do this. You're young. Don't do this to jeopardize your life.' He started crying, 'But we're going to be homeless. I haven't had a job in months. I've tried everything.'"
