Even in some of Earth's most inhospitable places, life continues to not only survive, but to thrive.
Miner and photographer, Ivan Kislov, spends his days exploring Russia's remote north-eastern Chukotka region, where he photographs the amazing wildlife that call this brutal arctic tundra home.
Ivan has captured on film everything from reindeer to wolves, but is particularly compelled by the wild foxes he encounters during his long treks through the wilderness, and recently spoke to Boredpanda about his photography adventures.

“Foxes are curious and can come very close, and I shoot with wide angle and telephoto lenses," Ivan told Boredpanda.

He has found that foxes are very willing models.

Even the babies!

Ivan lives in the northeastern port city of Magadan, and works as a mining engineer in Chukotka, Russia.

During breaks on his long shifts, he takes time to photograph the surrounding wildlife.

He refers to his photographic adventures as "relaxation from routine."

Ivan enjoys hiking and rafting to inaccessible places.

Or simply going on long walking tours to "observe the wildlife."

Currently, Ivan has received over 5,000 followers on 500px.

His stunning work has been viewed and shared by hundreds of thousands.

It's truly amazing to see these foxes in their most intimate moments in the wild.

One fox even seems transfixed by the camera lens.

While others go on about their business, as they can be photographed from relatively far away and left undisturbed.

Ivan works day and night to capture the perfect photographs.

He not only captures great natural beauty...

...but plenty of love!
