You may have thought you were pretty cool back in your college days, but I bet you had nothing on this creative co-ed.
Remember how boring most college dorm rooms were? It's no wonder many students would rather be out hanging with friends than locked inside studying.
This is why a Rice University student decided to reintroduce some childhood fun into his personal space for his final year at the Houston, TX school.
Inspired by a comic strip called Grownups, which encourages adults to still act like kids and have fun, David Nichol ordered about $500 worth of plastic balls from China last August. The computer engineering major was questioned by customs when 26 large boxes were sent to his home, but Nichol explained it was for his dorm room ball pit.
When classes resumed for his senior year, Nichol transformed his otherwise drab dorm room into a wonderland — and he's been making headlines for doing what he says made him happy.
“Just because you’re not seven doesn’t mean you can’t indulge in seven-year-old fun things,” Nichols told ABC13.
“Even if you’re a grownup, I feel like you should be able to acknowledge that fun things are still fun.” After seeing this video, I definitely agree!
