When I'm driving on the road, I always feel like I'm in control. I'm never afraid for my life, because driving on the highway is such a common, everyday life task. Yet, every time I get on a plane, all I can do is picture going down in a fiery crash.
But, the truth is that traveling by car is 100 times more dangerous than traveling through the air. Some reports even set your chances of going down in a plane 1 in 11 million.
All I mean to say is that we should all be more careful when we're behind the wheel. If everyone just took more precautions that might seem petty, the road would be a safer place.
This close encounter and small act of bravery is a reminder of that.
When this biker was riding along the highway, he saw that cars were moving slower than usual, yet he kept heading forward around them. He saw that there was a car completely overturned in the middle of the highway. When he got up close, he wasted absolutely no time in assessing the situation. There was a person inside of that car, and he was determined to get her out as fast as possible. What happens next occurs so fast that I could hardly believe the outcome.
Thank goodness this biker was in the right place at the right time, or who knows what would have happened. This could have turned into another car accident statistic.
