A 70-year-old woman in Boston, Massachusetts, was in for the surprise of her life in early December 2021. As Donna Sanginario told local news, she was stringing up Christmas lights at her home when a raccoon jumped on her out of nowhere.
The experience sounds pretty terrifying. As Donna recalls, she heard a noise that sounded odd: "I turned around to see what the noise was and I was staring at a huge raccoon about 10 feet away."
Before she could do much, the raccoon attacked. "Before I could do anything it jumped at me. Worst nightmare of my life.”
After Donna screamed, the raccoon tried to get off her — but then attacked again!
She managed to put the animal in a headlock, explaining, "As he was biting me I could hear bones breaking in his neck. He finally [stopped] screaming so I got off him. He got up and walked away."
