Christmas came early for these three siblings.
Their mom hands them each a mysterious package containing some very important information.
As they sit, waiting in anticipation, she reveals that she received a surprise phone call earlier that morning, and inside each package is the answer she was given over the phone — whether she was having a boy or girl. The children let out an excited gasp and sparkling grins light up their faces as they prepare to tear open the packages to see the results.
The little girl immediately rips away the paper and lets out a piercing exclamation, “It’s a girl! It’s a girl!” — waving the tiny light pink onesie and sliding back into the couch.
The oldest brother manages to open his package almost instantly as well. His reaction is a bit more subdued. With a shy smile, he holds the onesie up to his chest, comparing the onesie to the size of his green t-shirt.
But the most interesting reaction is that of the middle child. Though his siblings already revealed the gender, he seems completely unaware as he struggles to open his package and pull out the contents.
As he unfurls the little cloth, his face crumples, and he draws his hands up to his face.
“It’s so beautiful,” Eric manages to utter between sobs. “I’ve wanted one so much.”
You can almost see the smile in their mom’s voice as she tells them, “In five months, you guys will each get to hold her in your onesie.”
