There are few things more terrifying than watching the car in front of you have an extremely close call. When you're driving and you see something like this happen right before your eyes, your heart begins to race, your hands get clammy, and you end up doing the best you can to just stay calm while hoping that the danger safely passes.
In this video, recorded by a driver's dashboard camera on August 31, 2013, we see as a small, white car traveling down the highway on a rainy day. All seems to be going fine until the moment when, out of nowhere, the vast hillside begins to unleash a cascade of falling rocks, mud, and water onto the roadway below.
The huge splash causes the cars on the highway to stop in their tracks and pushes the small, white car off to the left. Luckily for that car, it seems like the splashing water actually saved it from complete disaster.
As the water clears from the camera's view, we see a huge boulder come tumbling across the highway and right toward the white car. Just as it's about to roll over the car, it miraculously veers off the other way and settles on the road.
What an unbelievably scary close call.
Afterward, we see the driver of the white car exit his vehicle as the camera car backs up and away from any more possible danger.
It's a short video, but yet another reminder that anything can happen in the blink of an eye when you're driving. Stay safe, folks.
