Train Conductor Hears Cry From Under Train, Then Realizes Cat Was Stuck There For 12 Hours

Anyone who has a cat knows that they manage to get stuck in the strangest places.

I once found my cat inside the wall of my bedroom when he found a hole in the closet. He was not happy about being taken out of his hiding spot!

You never know where a cat might hide. Brad Slater was not expecting to find a cat while working. He is a train conductor, and while doing a routine safety check, he found a cat stowed away!

The cat was hiding, or stuck, in the engine deck of the train Brad had been operating. The cat is believed to have been there for about 12 hours, traveling under the train in temperatures that reached as low as -40.

It's a miracle this cat, now nicknamed Q-199 after the train he was found on, only suffered from frostbite after this scary trip. The train had been traveling from Winnipeg to Edmonton on Sunday, so it was unclear to Brad where Q came from.

Thankfully Q is doing OK now. After Brad fed him jerky and gave him water on the train, he took Q home to his wife so they could take him to the vet.

Brad believed that Q was a house cat, given how friendly he was. After appearing on the news, it seems Q's family has been found!

Retired CN workers Brent and Lynnette Hain believe that Q  is actually their cat Tiger. According to CTV, Brad was able to confirm that Q responds to the name Tiger.

The Hains are now traveling to reunite with Tiger, but hopefully they will keep in touch with the man who rescued him and gave him love!

Don't forget to SHARE this cat's long journey back home with all of your friends and family!
