Kevin Costner's estranged wife, Christine Baumgartner, allegedly refuses to move out of his house and has spent $95,000 on divorce attorneys and a forensic accountant, using his credit card and bank account "without any prior notice to (him)," according to recently filed court documents.
Christine and Kevin were married for 18 years and have three children together. According to Us Weekly, the divorce was not something that Kevin wanted.
"It is with great sadness that circumstances beyond his control have transpired which have resulted in Mr. Costner having to participate in a dissolution of marriage action," a statement from his rep said.
With his estranged wife refusing to leave his home, Kevin is now without a home — a situation that he tried to avoid by discussing it with Christine before the two of them got married.
Kevin actually found himself in a similar situation before with a prior marriage. He said that after his previous divorce, he wasn't able to stay in his home, so when he discussed marriage with Christine, he made it clear that having a home base was extremely important to him.
"I never wanted this to happen again. Because of the nature of my work, I am frequently out of town; it is therefore particularly important to me that when I am home, I have a home to go to," the 68-year-old actor stated.

"When Christine and I began discussing marriage in 2003, I made it clear to her that I would not marry again without clarity that my separate property residences would remain mine to live in no matter what happened in our marriage," he continued. "Christine acknowledged to me at the time that she understood the importance of this to me and she agreed to this provision."
The court documents were filed on June 9 and state that Christine is violating the prenuptial agreement that she signed.
According to the prenup, Christine had 30 days to move out of the house after filing for divorce.
Kevin asserts that he has given Christine $1 million since she filed for divorce, as required by the prenup. The prenup also required him to pay her $100,000 when they got married and $100,000 for their first anniversary.
He also claims that he has offered to cover more of her moving costs and pay her $38,000 per month in addition to the $30,000 child support that's required by the prenup.
The house that they previously lived in together belongs to Kevin. He bought it in 1988, prior to marrying Christine, according to the Daily Mail.
The house is worth $145 million. The house next to it is also owned by Kevin, the Daily Mail reports, but Kevin says it's used for work.
"Kevin has acted in good faith and has done everything in his power to make the transition as seamless as possible," the court documents read. "But Christine refuses to vacate his separate property residence as she agreed she would do in 2004 as a condition of marriage."
Christine filed for divorce on May 1, meaning she should've left the property by May 31.
Kevin says he also offered to help her with moving arrangements.
The court documents state that Christine will not move out until Kevin gives in to "various financial demands."
According to Us Weekly, the split took people by surprise. A source told the outlet that "everyone thought Kevin and his wife were 'super happy.'"
However, a source told People that Kevin knew his wife was not happy, but he was still surprised by her filing for divorce.
The source said that Christine made the decision because of Kevin's busy schedule and his time spent away from family.
"During filming, Kevin is not around very much. His absence has been very hard for her," the source told People. "Christine doesn't want him to throw himself into another project. He has been obsessed with filming Horizon since last year. She wasn't happy about it."
The source noted that it's possible Kevin wasn't fully aware of how his focus on his career impacted his family life.
