1. Do A Quick Scrub Every Day

Prevent soap scum from even beginning in the first place by doing this daily deed. Quickly clean the walls of your shower by spraying solution made up of half water and half vinegar, then wipe it off with a rag.

For a more intense scrub, use a solution made of one cup baking soda, one cup salt, and one cup bleach, according to The Dr. Oz Show.

2. Throw Your Curtains and Liners In The Wash

Whether it’s eyeballing it for mold and mildew stains or sticking to a once-a-month routine, it’s important to stay on top of keeping your curtains and liners sanitary by tossing them in the wash. Who wants a disgusting black substance falling into the tub while you’re trying to get clean?

3. Take Care Of The Grout

Grout is used to fill crevices in between the tiles of your shower, but can turn different colors based on hair products or just look plain worn down after a while.

Throw some white vinegar, one cup of ammonia, and half a cup of baking soda in a gallon bucket of hot water, then get scrubbing with a toothbrush.

4. Clean The Drain Out

Don’t let it get to the point where the water in your tub is basically overflowing.

At least once a month, pour boiling water down the drain, plus one cup vinegar and half a cup of baking soda, then one cup of boiling water, according to Instyle. Let it sit for 10 minutes, and then add one final gallon of boiling water to wash away anything you didn’t already get.

5. Don't Forget The Shower Doors

If you've got them, don't neglect them. Mix a few drops of white vinegar with one cup of baking soda and voilà — you've got yourself a thick and efficient cleaner!

Spread it on your doors and let it sit for one hour, then wipe it off with a rag.

6. Focus On The Tub Once A Week

Run the hot water in your shower for a few minutes to loosen any surrounding buildup, then use that same solution from the daily scrub above and wipe it down. Try to do this on a weekly basis.

7. Deep Clean Once A Month

You don’t have to do all the steps above every time you clean your shower (besides #1, which is a good idea), but make a habit of doing a deep cleanse once a month that involves tackling all of these do-not-miss tasks.
