Animal Rescue Holds Puppy Shower For Paralyzed Dog

You're about to meet a remarkable dog. She may be young, but she's already a survivor. Her journey begins as a heartbreaking one, but wait until you see her today.

Two-year-old dog Cleo hails from Egypt. She was hit by a car as a puppy and was beaten and abused while living alone on the streets. People would push her, ignore her, and throw things at her when she was "in the way." As a result of being struck by a car, Cleo's back legs are now paralyzed. For a long time, she was forced to drag her body across the road. Luckily, a Good samaritan rescued her, and Cleo made her way to the states. She ended up in Indiana, in a small town with a big heart. She was introduce to a pair of wheels that allows her to get around, along with a loving foster mom. But then, Cleo was struck with some unfortunate news.

After hearing that Cleo's foster mom was having back surgery and could no longer take care of her, Heartland Small Animal Rescue stepped in to save the day. Cleo is now staying with a family who is taking wonderful care of her while she gets healthy. Then, they will see if they can rehabilitate at least one of her legs. Now, things are only looking up for this little dog who could.

Heartland recently threw Cleo a "puppy shower" to not only celebrate Cleo's amazing journey, but also give her the help she needs. Members of the community dropped off care items and donations, and were delighted to meet Cleo in person.

One thing's for sure — whoever gets to adopt this incredible dog is one very lucky family. Please SHARE this video with your friends on Facebook!
