Nobody can argue that parenting is hard. It's one of the most challenging jobs on the face of the planet — you are shaping the way children learn to live their lives.
Parents have a lot of responsibilities: on top of taking care of the basic needs of their children, they also have to teach their kids great values, teach them to respect others, and hope they grow up to be good citizens and helpful adults.
It can be a lot of pressure, especially those times when you have to discipline your child. It's hard to know the right way to teach your child a lesson.
One mom found a very clever way to deal with her children misbehaving, though, and she shared it with the world. On October 25, 2015, the Facebook page MagicMum posted this note:
The note is an open form for grounding a child. It says, "Congratulations! You got grounded!!! To get ungrounded you must earn _____ points. Offense: __________."
The blank spaces on the form allow for the parent to fill in what the child did wrong and how many points they must "earn" to become ungrounded.
All of the points are earned by doing some sort of household chore.
This is such a clever way to both discipline your child and convince your child to do the chores.
Plus, many children are more okay with being disciplined if they see a way out of it; in this case, they can become "ungrounded" faster by doing more work.
