Mom Says School Covers Up Daughter’s Abuse From Bullies, So She Photographs Her Bruises

Jasha Lawrence hasn't been to school in a week. The 8-year-old and her mother, Natalie Lawrence, are terrified of school bullies. What's worse is that Natalie believes the school is conspiring against them.

She believes they are covering up the abuse.

“My daughter is not a punching bag for these kids,” Natalie told CBS. “They’ll say, ‘Oh your daughter fell or your daughter tripped. Oh she bumped her head a little.'”

However, when things got more serious, Natalie knew something had to be done. Jasha was beaten so badly, she had to go to the hospital.

“The boy or whatever hit me, kneed me, and pushed me down the slide and my friend,” Jasha says.

Jasha was diagnosed with a head laceration and possibly a mild concussion, and this was the second time bullies put her in the emergency room. The school says they are investigating the situation and meeting with the police.

Natalie photographed her daughter's bruises as proof of the incident. The mother and daughter believe if the school would simply talk to the bullies, they would stop.

“Tell them how it makes people feel," Natalie said. Jasha responded, “Sad and lonely.” Heartbreaking.
