As someone who loves to decorate, I take great pride in my knowledge of colors: I know the subtle difference between turquoise and teal, that yellow and purple go fabulously together, and that black and brown should never mix.
But when I came across this little quiz, I lost a little bit of my self-confidence when it comes to colors and their many shades. Much like the time I took the quiz on our U.S. presidents, I thought I'd score much better than I did…
So when I got my surprising results, I decided to do a little research on colors and the human eye. As it turns out, our eyes are capable of detecting nearly 10 million colors! Considering that, it's no wonder why we're so drawn to colorful things, and why we're fascinated by one another's favorite colors and their meanings.
