This has to be one of the most beautiful videos I have ever seen in my life. It's mesmerizing and hypnotizing, yet powerful. It says so much without saying a word, and it even made me sad at times. All of this in one short, simple, three-minute film that proves that nature itself is a miracle!
The video itself is incredibly simple: there's a powerful orchestral piece playing in the background as images of the Vermilion Cliffs National Monument in Arizona cycle throughout.
The gorgeous shots, taken by Gavin Heffernan and Harun Mechmedinovic, get more and more intense as the video goes on. Using time-lapse technology, the film crew takes some incredibly creative shots that will leave you breathless. I've watched this video four times back-to-back now, and it's something you absolutely have to watch to see how wonderful the American landscape can truly be.
The National Monument is clearly protected by the government for good reason: with beautiful views like that, everyone in America deserves to see these wondrous sights at least once in their lifetime. Some of the more bizarre-looking rocks are theorized to have been formed by massive earthquakes in the distant past.
The film shoot for this amazing video took only two days to complete, but during that short process there were huge problems to contend with. There were thunderstorms, rain, and other environmental difficulties — but thankfully, the storms cleared up, allowing for some of the most beautiful views of the Milky Way ever recorded on film.
Please SHARE this beautiful video if you think the earth is beautiful!
