Devoted employee Shirley Ratliff takes three buses to her job at a local bagel shop at 5 a.m. each day. She had been saving up for a car, but the 47-year-old was diagnosed with cancer a few years ago, and the money went toward her treatment costs. Despite her health issues, she always came to work with a smile and treated her customers like family. So her loyal customers decided to return the favor in a BIG way.
They pooled money together and bought her a car. Then, while she was at work over the holiday, they called her outside and presented her with the used 1992 Buick LeSabre. She was in complete shock by their generosity, and her reaction is unforgettable.
"It means the world to me. I love these people," she said. "I just didn't know they would go to this extreme to do something like this."
It's wonderful to see how a random act of kindness can completely change a person's life forever.
