Little Boy With Cystic Fibrosis Receives Overwhelming Amount Of Birthday Wishes

Christopher Carmen is only 5 years old, but he has already had a very tough life. Christopher was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis, a life-threatening disorder that damages the lungs and digestive system — and it has no cure.

This disease has lead to many nights in the hospital, along with bullying from his classmates. Christopher's mother, Patricia Duffy, wanted to do something a little special for her son. After everything he has been through, she felt he deserved at least that.

Duffy wrote a post on Facebook about her son, who has no friends, but she wanted him to know people around the world cared about him. Because of the bullying and his illness, he is now homeschooled. Like 10-year-old Elle, who has an oxygen tank because of her cystic fibrosis, the community rallied behind Christopher. The response to Duffy's message was overwhelming.

Duffy wasn't expecting the huge outpouring from all over the country, but after her post got shared by a popular Facebook user, more and more people saw that Christopher needed birthday wishes. You can see just how much all of the cards and love have meant to Christopher in the video below!
