7-Year-Old Girl Gives Her Dad A Note, But When He Opens It He Reads ‘Keep Going’

As a kid, I used to draw lots of pictures to give to my parents. It's safe to say they were all pretty horrible.

Generally, the notes would say things like "I like spaghetti," and the drawings would be terrifying stick-figure horses.

Needless to say, my parents told me they were wonderful and probably held onto them for way too long, even though objectively they were definitely nothing special.

Almost every parent knows exactly what I'm talking about: your kids draw something that looks like a bunch of scribbles, and even after they explain that it's a monster chasing a cat, you still just see lines.

But because you love your child and want to make sure they know you're proud of them, you tell them it's incredible (plus, your kid made it, which makes it undeniably incredible anyway).

Not many kids actually draw or write things worth keeping (other than for sentimental value), but one little girl just gave her dad a note he'll definitely save forever.

After the daughter gave her dad a note, he posted pictures of it on Reddit, where over 18,000 people liked it.

The outside of the note was written on a piece of printer paper. It said, "Open Dad."

When he opened the note, he realized this was a more serious project than he initially thought.

The next page of the note said, "Keep Going," and had a small heart drawn next to the words.

At this point, the 7-year-old girl must have realized her dad might be getting bored, so she wrote a bit of encouragement for him.

The next unfolding revealed words that said, "Keep it up."

"Almost there!" the next page read.

If I were this dad, I would definitely be hoping for something good on the last unfolding.

Thankfully, he wasn't disappointed.

Once he had finished unfolding the entire piece of paper, he saw the final message: "I love you!"

If that's not gratifying, I don't know what is.

Tons of people loved this sweet note, with one Reddit user commenting, "Save this until her wedding day. Make her cry."
