Fathers Join Their Daughters On Stage For A Special Dance

Each year, fabulous little dancers take the stage in front of friends and family to show off their year’s work at their dance recital.

Whether it’s an epic Aretha Franklin impersonation or some ethnic dance moves, these talented kids are always a sight to see.

Every year, one dance studio, the Best Dance and Talent Center in St. Ann, MO changes up the expected dance sequences to include a touching surprise: the annual daddy-daughter dance.

"I originally did it to honor my dad who passed away.  It then became a tradition at my dance studio," longtime owner Judy Best-Person, who choreographed the dance, told LittleThings.

In the video below, the young female dance students are seen on stage with their dads performing to Luther Vandross’ emotional 2003 ballad “Dance With My Father.”

From beginning to end, this video will pull at your heartstrings. It shows the young dancers in sparkly red dresses while their fathers look dapper in white dress shirts and black slacks. Together they perform a synchronized dance sequence that is quickly going viral.

One father in particular took part in the dance despite missing a limb. He and his daughter stood in the front row and didn’t miss a step. He also smiled the whole way through proving what a super dad he is. (And just wait till you see the incredible move they do at the :38 mark!)

Watch below and please SHARE with all the fathers you know!
