Devon Still and his daughter made headlines not too long ago for the hashtag #LeahStrong. The professional defensive lineman for the Cincinnati Bengals may, at first glance, look like a total tough guy. But just because he's a big, strong, football player doesn't mean that he doesn't have feelings.
When his daughter was just 4 years old, she was diagnosed with cancer — Stage 4 neuroblastoma, to be precise. This is a childhood cancer that affects nerve cells.
Any parent would be absolutely devastated if they learned that their child's life could possibly end so much earlier than it should. But Still took this head-on, and devoted almost all of his time to making sure that his little fighter won this battle.
He even postponed his wedding for two years, because it was incredibly important that his little girl was there to walk down the aisle as his beautiful flower girl.
Little Leah really is a fighter, because even when her body felt like it was giving up, she wouldn't let it. Through months of treatment, her loving, silly, determined father was right there by her side, cheering her on.
There was no way this dynamic duo was going to let cancer win.
The smile on Leah's face these days is enough to light up a whole football stadium. You really have to see it for yourself.
