If ever there was a veterinary establishment worthy of praise, it's Vet Ranch.
Diesel, a months-old kitten, was found by a concerned citizen who picked him up off the street and delivered him to Vet Ranch to get the proper medical attention he needed for his injuries. His face was swollen and there was concern that his jaw may have suffered some trauma — indeed, X-rays confirmed that there were serious injuries causing the swelling of his face. His jaw had been split down the middle. Dr. Matt says they're unsure of what happened to him — he posits a car accident or animal attack could have been the source of his wounds.
But there's a silver lining, as is always the case when animals enter the care of Dr. Matt. They were able to wire his jaw back into place and the good samaritans who found him ultimately decided to adopt Diesel — so his forever home was secured even before he left Vet Ranch. As Dr. Matt point out, a normal prospective adoptive family wouldn't have been able to afford the costs of Diesel's procedures; he would have likely been euthanized. Vet Ranch, therefore, ensured that this tiny kitten survived and was paired with a loving forever home.
