Without question, veterans deserve our absolute respect and adoration.
These brave men and women who proudly served in the military should be treated like the heroes they are.
Unfortunately, not everybody behaves with the same amount of respect.
So when I spotted this story from October of 2015, I initially got very mad at the extremely disrespectful note that someone left on this disabled veteran's car.
But when I read the veteran's incredible response? I started tearing up at his passionate and important words.
A photo of these two notes was posted on Reddit by user Molochwalker28. In the first note, a very rude person accuses the veteran of parking in a handicapped spot without actually being disabled. However, the veteran truly wins the argument with his note back.

The Reddit user who posted these letters writes that this interaction occurred in a parking lot near where he lived.
A man returned to his car and found this note on his windshield:
"Hey Buddy,
Stop parking in handicap spots!!!!"
"You DO NOT have a sticker nor do you look handicapped. I have taken a picture of your license plate and sent it to the office for towing by the courtesy officer.
Stop being a jerk!!"
Not to allow the author of the note to have the final say on the matter, the man hung up this letter in the area for all to see. It reads:
"Dear Passive Aggressive Douche,
First and foremost:
In the state of Texas, if a vehicle has DISABLED VETERAN license plates, that vehicle is not required, BY LAW, to have a handicapped placard displayed, nor a handicapped emblem on the license plate, UNLESS that vehicle is parked on FEDERAL property. If you had bothered to spend 30 seconds and pull the miniature computer out of your pocket to research this then you would have never needed to leave this offensive note. Considering that you took a picture of my license plate you should have been able to very clearly see the writing at the bottom that says: DISABLED VETERAN U.S. ARMED FORCES.
But it's cool. You probably just let your emotions get the best of you and felt like being a social justice hero."
The note continues:
"Secondly:
Although I may not "look" handicapped to you, I can assure you that the amount of pain I feel in my lower body from walking due to combat-sustained injuries far supersedes any level of pain you have ever felt in your entire life. Or maybe not… Who am I to say? After all, I don't even know who you are.
By the way, I would love to hear what your idea of a handicapped person 'looks' like. A*****e."
His letter finishes:
"Lastly:
You may not have noticed there is a photocopy of the note you left attached to my response. I kept the original. I think I'm going to frame it so I can look at it every day as to remind myself of what kind of person to NOT be.
Sincerely,
The guy who doesn't look handicapped."
This veteran's response went absolutely viral, with thousands of people thanking him for his service and condemning the offensive note he received.
It is so important to respect our nation's veterans, and hopefully the person who wrote the rude note learned a lesson about judging a book by its cover.
