We often see animals are creatures who are very different from us, but they're perhaps more similar to us than we think. We have nothing in common with animals of the deep like sharks, for example, but we can still understand them.
Josh Eccles was diving off the coast of Jupiter, Florida when he came across a lemon shark.
These sharks are not considered to be dangerous to humans unless they feel threatened in some way. This one was getting very close, and started bumping his wetsuit. The shark was getting very persistent, so Josh took him by the nose and flipped him up.
Then, he suddenly realized why the shark was trying to get his attention so badly: there was a hook stuck in his belly!
In the footage captured by Chris Maddeford, Josh is seen reaching out to carefully remove the hook so that the shark can go free. Thankfully, he's successful — and unharmed in the process!
I would be terrified in this situation, but the diver has experience with these animals. He even says that he's thankful to have been able to be of service.
